The Florida Keys Children’s Shelter’s second annual Anchors of Hope fundraising event raised more than $12,000 in support of children, youth and families served throughout the Florida Keys.
Held at Island Grill on May 30, the evening brought community leaders, businesses, supporters and advocates for a celebration featuring live entertainment, dancing, dining, raffles and a silent auction — all to provide safety, support and hope to local children and families.
“We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support from our community,” said Anaís Diaz, community development director for the shelter. “Every ticket purchased, sponsorship secured, donation made and volunteer hour given helps us continue providing critical services to children and families who need them most.”

By welcoming Anchors of Hope to Island Grill, the Nekhailas provided the perfect waterfront setting for an evening dedicated to hope and community.
FKCS also recognized Scott Keo for his Michael Bublé tribute show. His performance brought energy and excitement and had guests singing, dancing and celebrating.
