For years, Upper Keys officials have been talking about a pedestrian bridge to be constructed over U.S.1 at Founders Park. During holidays and special events (concerts or the Gigantic Nautical Flea Market), traffic comes to a standstill because of heavy congestion and guests trying to cross the road. The $4.68 million project has entered the design phase and the cost will be paid for by the State Department of Transportation.
