Good Health Clinic’s 2026 Big Kahuna Reveal & Celebration will take place Saturday, Oct. 10, at Founders Park Beach in Islamorada. This year’s theme — “Mo’Rockin’ Moroccan Night for Health” — invites guests into a desert-inspired affair where old-world intrigue meets a touch of rock and roll.
The event marks the culmination of the annual Kahuna Challenge and celebrates the contestants’ months-long efforts to raise funds and awareness for Good Health Clinic. The evening will also reveal the top fundraiser, who will be crowned with the title of 2026 Big Kahuna and earn the honor of hosting the Kahuna Challenge trophy for one year at their home or business.
The event will include dinner, an open bar and live entertainment.
Competing for the title of Big Kahuna are Jaclyn Kelley, of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate; Yesenia Moreno, of New Edge Associates; Chelsea O’Connor, of Mariners Hospital; Dr. David Padden, Omni Healthspan Cardiovascular & Musculoskeletal Longevity; and Candace Rybak & Kasandra Ibanez, of Houston Insurance Agency.
“More and more of our neighbors working in tourism, hospitality, retail and the trades simply cannot afford health insurance as the cost of living in the Keys continues to rise,” said Kate Banick, executive director of Good Health Clinic. “As the clinic faces deep cuts in local government funding, we are deeply grateful to this community for understanding that investing in the health of our neighbors is an investment in the health and strength of our entire community.”
Annual clinic sponsorships are available and are the only way to obtain access to the event. Ranging from $500 to $10,000, sponsorships provide essential funding for Florida Keys residents in need of life changing medical care. Seats are limited, so those wishing not to miss out are encouraged to make their commitments early.
Good Health Clinic is a nonprofit that has provided no-cost, comprehensive medical care to Florida Keys residents in need for more than 20 years. Each year, the clinic serves 700 to 1,000 patients throughout the Keys who would otherwise have no access to essential healthcare.
Through its clinics in Tavernier and Marathon, and with the support of a network of more than 100 volunteer physicians, specialists, hospitals and community partners, Good Health Clinic provides $6 million to $8 million in donated medical services and medications each year.
