HIALEAH WOMAN DIES IN UPPER KEYS BOAT CRASH

A boat crash in the Upper Keys on Aug. 16 claimed the life of a Hialeah woman.

According to Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, a 35-foot SeaVee with four adults on board was traveling northbound in the Intracoastal Waterway near Tavernier. As the vessel made a turn toward Cowpens Cut, all four occupants were ejected into the water.

FWC said 52-year-old Dianelys Martinez, of Hialeah, died from injuries she sustained in the incident. Two people on the boat were transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. The other person sustained no injuries.

The investigation is ongoing according to FWC.

The FWC extends its deepest sympathies to the family and friends affected by this tragic incident.
