IN PICTURES: KEY LARGO BOAT PARADE LIGHTS THE WAY ON BLACKWATER SOUND

Some 25 boats decorated with lights and Christmas inflatables passed the bayside shores of Blackwater Sound for the annual Key Largo Boat Parade on Dec. 11. Starting at Dusenbury Creek, boats dressed up to the “Naughty-cal and Nice” theme rode past Key Largo Marriott, Sundowners, Big Chill and Caribbean Club. Judges were positioned on the Amoray Dive Resort boat at the Big Chill’s dock as boats passed. The Bobby Stoky Best in Parade Award was given to boat No. 7, of Plantation Boat Mart. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office transported the parade marshals, Henry and Ms. Joy and the Caceres family.
