Marathon’s varsity softball team faced a stiff challenge as the Dolphins took on Miami’s St. Brendan Sabres. The Fins came up short in the contest, 15-1.

“The girls played with a lot of effort against a very experienced team,” said head coach Lance Martin. “I was proud that the girls kept fighting until the last inning, and I’m also pleased that we only committed one error in the field over the course of the game. If our bats start to come around, I believe we can be more competitive as the season progresses.”

Marathon’s next home games are on Thursday, March 10 at 4 p.m. vs. Palmer Trinity and Thursday, March 17 at 5 p.m. vs. Keys Gate.
