Marathon celebrates another run.

Feb. 26 saw Marathon Middle School’s baseball team host Miami Country Day for a Saturday doubleheader. Marathon’s bats were quiet in the first outing, yielding a 3-2 loss, but woke up to the tune of seven runs in a 7-7 extra-inning tie during the team’s second duel with the Spartans. “The kids were nervous the first game but came out of their shells in the second game,” said head coach James Murphy. “We have 21 games this year, and I am looking forward to seeing these kids improve each week.”
