IN PICTURES: MARC HOUSE TREE SALE KICKS OFF HOLIDAY SEASON

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the MARC Christmas tree lot on Seminary Street in Key West.

From tabletop trees to towering 12-footers, the Monroe Association for Remarkable Citizens (MARC) kicked off the Christmas season — and its largest annual fundraiser — filling its lot with 1,000 Douglas firs and their accompanying wintry scent.

Two tree shipments arrived this week, with a final delivery arriving Dec. 3.

The MARC Plant Store also has wreaths, ornaments, poinsettias and mistletoe air plants, along with tree skirts and other holiday accessories.

The tree lot is open daily 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., except Thanksgiving Day, until all trees are sold.

Volunteers are still needed to staff the lot. Email plantstore@marchouse.org or call the plant store at 305-296-9556.
