In pictures: Trunk or Treat brings scary-good displays and costumes

The Founders Park great lawn transformed into a Halloween town, as the eighth annual trunk or treat welcomed superheroes, princesses, scary creatures, aliens and more on Oct. 24. Vehicles decorated to a wide variety of themes dished out the treats and trinkets, all while offering a range of activities. Trick-or-treaters went to another dimension where they met aliens, while others had the chance to explore Jurassic Park. The first-place display was created by Keys Weekly designer Javier Reyes. He was joined by his family members and the Upper Keys Weekly’s Manuela Mobley. Pumpkin painting, bounce houses and an obstacle course, face painting and a costume contest highlighted an evening of “spooktacular” activities.
