The annual Islamorada Half Marathon, 10K, Rumrunner Run 5K and Beach N’ Beer Mile returned to Islamorada. Held Dec. 11-12, the weekend of racing featured some running and drinking, a scenic course for 10K and half marathon runners and a post-race party. Races took place at Postcard Inn’s Bimini Row. Joe Klein, 29, of New York won the half marathon with a time of one hour and 29 minutes. Rosanna Mullen, 36, of Summerland Key, placed second in the marathon with a time of one hour and 36 minutes. Brett Hamilton, 41, of Oviedo, finished first in the 10K with a time of 38 minutes and 53 seconds, followed by Anthony Pallaria, 36, of Islamorada, with a time of 38 minutes and 56 seconds. Winner of the competitive Beach N Beer Mile and Rumrunner 5K was Hakan Eriksson, 60. Full results at runsignup.com.
