Santa and Mrs. Claus took a break from the Christmas hustle and bustle and visited a number of Islamorada neighborhoods the evening of Dec. 17. With help from Islamorada Fire Rescue, Santa and Mrs. Claus rode on a sleigh, which sat on a trailer towed by Islamorada Fire Chief Terry Abel. U.S. Marines joined Santa on his journey, collecting unwrapped gifts for the Toys for Tots drive. During each stop, Santa spent several minutes meeting with children and families.
