A rare forecast of snow preceded Santa and Mrs. Claus’ arrival at Coldwell Banker Schmitt’s Marathon office on Friday, Dec. 3. Sponsored by Coldwell Banker Schmitt and Keys Federal Credit Union, the event offered nearly 300 children the chance to greet and take pictures with the North Pole’s most famous couple. Word of Kris Kringle’s arrival had clearly spread throughout the town, as the line to meet them wound around the corner of the fully-decorated office and through the parking lot. Families received popcorn, cookies and gift bags for kids while a “snow” machine provided entertainment rarely seen in such warm islands. “The event went great,” said Coldwell Banker Schmitt’s marketing director, Nicole Nored. “It was so nice to see all the kids smiling and having a good time.”
