A mad dash to the deep blue on May 9 ended in an awards ceremony at the Marathon Yacht Club for the 20th annual Mother’s Day Dolphin Tournament benefiting Habitat for Humanity of the Middle Keys.

Topping the scales for the day was Pro Division angler Bill Landi, who boated a 15.9-pound fish as the largest in the tournament. But thanks to the generosity of a 2026 tournament sponsor, the ladies in the contest went home with the biggest checks. Reeling in a 12.4-pound fish, Lady Division angler Adelaide Gonzalez went home with a $2,250 check.
