On Wednesday, April 15, Islamorada Mayor Mike Forster, owner of Mangrove Mike’s will be providing free hot meals in Key West beginning at 2 p.m. at the Douglass Gym on Olivia Street.
Since March 20th, Mangrove Mike’s Endeavors has provided hot lunches for more than 5,000 people in Islamorada and Marathon.
“We’ve served the Upper and Middle Keys,” he said. “It’s time to serve Key West.”
People can drive through or walk-up, so long as they maintain proper physical distances. All meals will be bagged and ready to go. The hot meals include a protein, starch, vegetable, salad and a sweet treat.
