KIDS WEEKLY: SOPHIA BARRY

The Keys Weekly is proud to introduce local students to the Kids Weekly feature. Instead of asking about their favorite teacher or school subject, we want to know what superpower they’d most like to have, their favorite YouTube channel and the hardest part about being a kid today. We thank our future leaders and Key Largo School for allowing us to share in a weekly dose of “Tornadoes” pride and for giving us a glimpse into their world.

Sophia Barry

Key Largo School

Grade: 6

Activities: Writing, reading, drawing and video games.

What superpower would you most like to have, and why? Invisibility or talking to animals because you’d always have someone to talk to.

If you could make a rule for the whole world to follow, what would it be? Not to be rude and get along.

What makes you laugh? Jokes.

When do you think a kid is old enough to have a cell phone? Depends on the kid. I got a phone when I was 9 or 10.

What’s your favorite YouTube channel? I have a bunch.

The hardest part about being a kid is … being underestimated.

The hardest part about being an adult must be … making money and having a job.

When I grow up, I want to … do a lot of different things, like a writer, a photographer and animator. My dream is to have a Disney cartoon, like fantasy sci-fi.
