The 1-2 Marathon girls varsity basketball team hosted Miami’s Sports Leadership and Management (SLAM) on Nov. 18. In SLAM’s first game of the season, they took home the win, defeating Marathon 79-20. Marathon has a string of away games and will not play at home again until Wednesday, Jan. 12, when they host Homestead’s Keys Gate in a 4 p.m. showdown.
