Florida Health Department, in its latest report, has the total positive coronavirus count to 27 in Monroe County. Of that number, 15 are travel-related, eight are community-acquired and four are currently under investigation.

Of the 23 local residents, 14 are from Key West, four are from Key Largo, two are from Tavernier, one is from Islamorada, one is from Summerland Key and one is from Marathon. Four are non-county residents. Five remain hospitalized.

A total of 273 tests have been conducted in the county, with 179 coming back negative. Of those negative, 170 are local residents. Sixty-seven tests await results.

Statewide, 403 additional positive COVID-19 cases, 394 Florida residents and 9 non-Florida residents, were reported to the Florida Department of Health. There are currently 6,490 positive cases in Florida residents and 251 positive cases in non-Florida residents.
