SAINT NICK SAILS IN KEY LARGO FOR 1ST SIP & SAIL FUNDRAISER

Santa Claus will be at the Upper Keys Sailing Club for pictures on Dec. 5 from noon to 4 p.m. CONTRIBUTED

Saint Nick will bring cheer and bright spirits to the Upper Keys Sailing Club this holiday season. The 48-year old Key Largo-based sailing club will open its doors to the local community and host its first Santa’s Sip & Sail Holiday Bash on Dec. 5 from noon to 4 p.m. The holiday fundraiser will benefit The Mark Sorensen Youth Sailing Program.

Santa and his elves will arrive at the sailing club at noon in true Keys fashion aboard their own water sleigh, kicking off an afternoon of family fun. For a donation of $10 per family, families can have their photos taken with Santa aboard a sailboat overlooking the beautiful Florida Bay. There will be plenty of children’s activities planned including a petting zoo, cookie decorations, face painting and more. All children ages 13 and under will enjoy a free kids meal.

Adults can enjoy the view and sip on their favorite cocktails while their kids play. Holiday drinks, including peppermint patty martinis and mistletoe mudslides, will also be available for purchase at the sailing club’s full bar. Youth program volunteers will be selling raffle tickets for adult sailing lessons. Proceeds will support youth sailing in the Florida Keys.

To purchase event tickets ($10 donation per family) in advance or get event updates, please visit our Facebook events page:  Santa’s Sip & Sail FB Event Page. Families can also pay or make their donation at the door.
