TAKE ME HOME: PATTI STILL UP FOR ADOPTION

STILL UP FOR ADOPTION NOTE: We ran this dog once before (Feb. 24). In many cases, dogs like these don’t get adopted as fast as puppies or other dogs. As a result, I felt it was OK to run this again. In plus, the text is a little different than before. I figured we could use the label I wrote since some readers will see this dog again in the paper.

“Hi, my name is Patti. I am a 9-month-old Husky/Shepherd mix. I am beautiful, super smart,  learn very quickly and I love to make you smile by being such a good girl. I have a lot of energy and love to run. I can jump a 4-foot fence before you can blink. The perfect home for me has a fenced yard with a fence at least 6 feet high. A few months ago, I went to the vet and they told my foster mom that I was heartworm positive. I feel good, but I’ve been taking some medicines and have to get a shot once a month for a few months. It’s really hard for me to stay calm because I’m young and my breed is very active. If you are willing to give me a safe and loving home, you could actually save my life. If you would like to meet me, please complete an application at www.mprescues.org

Note: Patti appeared in the Feb. 24 edition of the Keys Weekly. In cases like Patti, some dogs sit and wait longer for their forever home than others.
