Get ready to shake your groove thing, or watch others shake theirs, at the Marathon Community Theatre’s 10th annual “tah-Dance,” which starts Friday and continues Saturday (June 22-23). This year’s theme is “That’s Entertainment!” “‘Tah-Dance’ is basically a production which highlights the dance program here at the theater, but we also invite members of the community to showcase their talents as well,” said Director Joanne Zimmerman. There’s belly dancing, tap, jazz, theater, lyrical and Bollywood. “This year, we’re even incorporating some singing, but once again this is a dance production, so the focus is on dance,” Zimmerman said. In the past, the production has been a sellout. Tickets for “tah-DANCE” are on sale at the box office and cost $12. Marathon Community Theatre is at 5101 Overseas Highway in Marathon and the show starts at 8 p.m. both nights. For more information about the theater’s dance classes, visit marathontheater.org.
