“Chace is one of those guys who is a leader in the locker room and on the field. He is a good student with good character who always does the right thing.” – Johnny Hughes, Conchs head coach

Key West’s Chace Gaertner “does a little of everything,” according to Conchs head coach Johnny Hughes. Last week, the two-way standout did plenty. Gaertner found the end zone twice on offense and reeled in an interception on defense, helping propel Key West to victory. His knack for making big plays on either side of the ball is matched by the consistency and leadership he brings to the Conchs each week. For his dependability, character and outstanding performance last week, Key West’s Chace Gaertner is the Keys Weekly Athlete of the Week.
