CHILDREN’S SHELTER HOSTS PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT FOR AREA YOUTH ON MAY 16

The Florida Keys Children’s Shelter (FKCS) is hosting its second annual community pickleball tournament on Saturday, May 16 from 8 a.m. to noon at Key Largo Community Park. Open to youth ages 8-18 across Monroe County, the event is free for all families.

The morning will feature structured competition across skill levels, cash prizes, giveaways and a free day pass to Jacobs Aquatic Center for every registered player. Discounted entry will be available for accompanying adults.

The event is made possible through sponsors Regan Roth Insurance Agency, Denny’s Latin Café and Innovation Home Health. The event is hosted in partnership with Schoolyard Academy.

“With the support of our sponsors and partners, we’re able to provide opportunities that bring kids together, build confidence, and create lasting memories,” said Anais Diaz, community development director at FKCS.
