EARTHQUAKE OFF CUBA FELT IN THE FLORIDA KEYS

Did you feel a shake in the ground this afternoon? The U.S. Geological Survey said Monday that a 6.1-magnitude earthquake occurred 65 miles west northwest of Mantua, Cuba.

Minor tremors from the earthquake in the Gulf were felt in South Florida and in the Florida Keys. No tsunami threat is expected, according to the National Weather Service Key West.

USGS said it’s the second largest earthquake recorded in the Gulf.
