COVID-19 postponed Key Largo Original Music Festival in May, but it’s here Keys Strong and ready to present the best line-up ever.

Singer-songwriters from across the country will converge in Key Largo to join local favorites in the Florida Keys from Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 15-18.

The four-day-festival will feature five stages, giving attendees multiple opportunities to hear original hits of songwriters/performers from Nashville, New York, Texas, Florida and the Florida Keys — playing country, folk, pop, rock and blues.

Key Largo Fisheries Backyard Café will kick off the festival on Thursday evening. Starting at 5 p.m., a full evening of music features more than a dozen singer/songwriters, as new and returning Nashville singer/songwriters join local favorites for four plus hours of music in the round. This will be followed by a late-night musicians’ jam session at Cactus Jacks.

A live remote by Thunder Country FM 100.3 on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Jimmy Johnson’s Big Chill will kickstart the weekend, which continues throughout Friday and Saturday with an extensive array of talent performing on multiple stages at the Big Chill, Sundowners and Cactus Jacks.

Florida Bay Outfitters (next to the Caribbean Club) steps up to the plate on Saturday afternoon, inviting attendees to join them for their official grand opening celebration. Starting at 2 p.m., it will feature a live remote from Thunder Country FM 100.3, lots of give-aways and specials and a lineup of musicians until 5 p.m.

The festival finale Sunday at the Caribbean Club features over 20 live performances. Music starts at 2 p.m. and continues with 90-minute multi-artist performances until 10 p.m. Some seating is provided or bring your lawn chair.

Thanks to singer-songwriter RJ Comer, a playlist featuring the music of the festival’s singer-songwriters is available on Spotify and Pandora.

Key Largo Original Musicfest has taken special precautions to ensure the health and safety of the musicians. Attendees are asked to follow the procedures put in place by the individual host venues and the mandates of Monroe County by wearing a mask indoors and social distancing. A full festival rundown and schedule is at keylargooriginalmusicfest.com.
