The little lunch truck that could is still thriving on Caroline Street, and the staff is accustomed to serving long lines of people. But on two recent Thursdays from 2 to 4 p.m., Garbo’s Grill has given away hot lunches to a very different type of line, as grateful diners maintained social distancing and took their donated food home to eat.

The menu has included Korean BBQ tacos, burgers and mango dogs.

“As much as we love you all, we need to keep everyone safe and cootie-free, so we would like you to honor the 6-feet-apart rule and take your grub to go. That means don’t crowd the line and don’t hang out,” the owners posted on Facebook.
