Keys rivals clashed on April 20 as the Marathon Dolphins played host to the visiting Coral Shores Hurricanes. The Fins kept the score close through eight innings before Coral Shores’ bats awakened in the final frame, driving in 11 runs in the top of the ninth inning for a final score of 15-6. Eager to avenge the loss, the team used the added motivation to secure its first ever regular-season conference championship with a 6-2 win over the Westwood Christian Warriors just two days later. With a first round bye secured, the Dolphins will now turn their attention to the conference championship tournament.
