A bout with south Florida powerhouse Boca Raton would prove to be too much for Key West’s boys basketball squad, as the Conchs fell to the Bobcats on Jan. 7. Though the southernmost team in the Keys put forth a solid effort and fared significantly better against the Bobcats than its Marathon counterpart, which lost a 69-21 decision the night before, the Conchs dropped to 2-9 on the season with the 70-48 loss.
