KEY WEST GALLERY EXHIBITS SALVADOR DALI COLLECTION

Venus in Furs ‘Leaf Woman’ is an etching by Salvador Dali, now on display and available for purchase at Key West Gallery, 601 Duval St. CONTRIBUTED

Key West Gallery will exhibit a selection of hand-signed, hand-colored etchings by the iconic surrealist artist Salvador Dalí. Each piece comes from the Argillet Collection, widely regarded as one of the most definitive and authentic archives of Dalí’s graphic works.

The etchings showcase Dalí’s unmistakable surrealist vision and are hand-colored and personally signed by the artist.

The Argillet Collection represents a historic collaboration between Dalí and his longtime publisher and confidant, Pierre Argillet. It is the most authenticated collection of Dali’s work throughout his career.  All artwork is on view and available for acquisition.

Christine Argillet, the curator of this Dali collection, is the daughter of Pierre Argillet.

She said the exhibit is “a tribute to the work of my father, Pierre Argillet, as an extraordinary publisher of the Dada and Surrealist group. This collection reflects a constant endeavor and a close collaboration with the artists of these two movements, especially Salvador Dali. My goal is to have this collection presented in the finest museums and galleries in the world.”

Key West Gallery is at 601 Duval St.
