June ushers in the kaleidoscopic Key West Pride, one of the most popular Pride events in the country. With the 2026 theme “Color the Island: A Celebration of Identity Through Color & Creativity,” Key West will transform into a living work of art filled with music, performances, a street fair, film screenings, pool parties and community connection, culminating in a festive and colorful parade.
“History has taught us that the LGBTQ+ and allied community is strongest when we rise above the forces that try to divide us,” states the Key West Business Guild, which produces Pride. “Progress has never come from standing apart. It has come from standing together, speaking with one voice and lifting each other up in the fight for dignity, equality and love. Unity has always been our power, and together, we are unstoppable.”
The theme for this year’s event, “Color the Island,” is a celebration of Key West’s identity, self-expression and creativity in every shade of the rainbow.
At Key West Pride, the island’s laid-back energy combines with its long-standing spirit of openness and acceptance. “Color the Island” invites everyone to express themselves boldly and beautifully. Inspired by the island’s One Human Family philosophy, Key West has grown into one of the most integrated, welcoming and uniquely creative communities in the world — a place where individuality isn’t just accepted, it’s celebrated.
Show us your Pride, and we’ll show you how Key West colors the island with love, says the nonprofit Gay Key West. More information is available from Gay Key West on Facebook and at gaykeywestfl.com/pride.
