Meet the All-Keys Softball Team

Softball talent runs strong in the Florida Keys, and this season’s All-Keys team reflects the depth, versatility and competitive spirit found throughout Monroe County. 

Key West led the way with a 17-10 record, capturing district and regional championships and advancing to the FHSAA Class 4A Final Four. Marathon finished 13-5 while competing in the Rural Class 1A bracket, and Coral Shores posted a 10-4 mark as an independent program. 

From dominant pitchers and power hitters to speedy baserunners and dependable defenders, athletes from all three schools helped showcase the strength of softball across the island chain. This year’s squad features a blend of proven veterans and rising stars who made their mark throughout the 2026 season. 

PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Brianna Brenner
Junior, Key West 
Pitcher

Brenner was the driving force behind Key West’s remarkable postseason run, dominating in the circle with a 1.75 ERA and an 11-2 record over 23 appearances. The junior logged 124 ⅓ innings, striking out 124 batters while recording 8 ½ shutouts and a pair of no-hitters. Intense yet composed, Brenner embraced the heavy workload placed upon her and delivered time and again. A leader in every sense, she set the tone for the Lady Conchs with her work ethic, competitiveness and poise under pressure.

Addison Grady
Sophomore, Coral Shores
Infield

One of the Hurricanes’ most dangerous offensive players, Grady batted .548 with a .642 on-base percentage. She scored 20 runs, collected 23 hits and drove in 16 runs while adding four doubles, two home runs and 15 stolen bases.

Lilee Gage
Junior, Key West
Outfield

Gage provided a steady presence in the outfield and delivered timely offense for the Lady Conchs. She scored 20 runs, drove in 13 and added two home runs while posting an outstanding .980 fielding percentage defensively.

Maciee Gage
Junior, Key West
Outfield

A consistent contributor at the plate, Gage hit .351 with 22 runs scored, 27 hits and 18 RBIs. She added extra-base power with doubles and two home runs while providing dependable defense in the outfield.

Arianna Garcia
Sophomore, Key West
Infield

Garcia emerged as one of Key West’s top offensive threats, batting .373 with 27 hits and 18 RBIs. The sophomore added eight doubles, a triple and two home runs while providing versatility in the infield.

Kaleya Cervantes
Junior, Key West
Infield

Cervantes contributed in all phases of the game, batting .293 with 19 runs scored and 22 hits. Her patience at the plate led to 11 walks, and her steady play helped anchor the Lady Conchs’ infield.

Charlie Bracher
Freshman, Key West
Designated Hitter

Bracher made an immediate impact in her first varsity season, batting .441 with a .578 on-base percentage and an impressive .882 slugging percentage. The freshman drove in 17 runs and launched three home runs, establishing herself as one of the area’s top young hitters.

Pressley Bagwell
Senior, Coral Shores
Pitcher

Bagwell contributed both in the circle and at the plate for the Hurricanes. She hit .353 with seven stolen bases while also striking out 31 batters over 32 ⅓ innings pitched, providing valuable senior leadership throughout the season.

Sara Robinson
Junior, Marathon 
Infield

Robinson batted .312 and drove in 19 runs while reaching base at a .507 clip. A vocal leader in the infield, she consistently helped position teammates and brought energy and awareness to the Dolphins’ defense.

Maeve Merryman
Junior, Marathon
Outfield

Marathon’s leadoff hitter, Merryman used her speed to spark the offense. She batted .360, scored 32 runs and stole 29 bases, making her one of the Keys’ most dynamic players once she reached base.

Shylo Sanchez
Senior, Key West
Catcher

The lone senior on Key West’s roster, Sanchez provided leadership and consistency behind the plate. She hit .403 with a .549 on-base percentage and set a new school record with 22 walks in a season. Her intelligence and experience proved invaluable to the Lady Conchs.

Alyvia Prince
Freshman, Coral Shores
Pitcher/Infield

Prince excelled in multiple roles for the Hurricanes, batting .535 with a .615 on-base percentage while scoring 20 runs and driving in 18. In the circle, she struck out 37 batters over 39⅓ innings, making an immediate impact in her freshman campaign.

Lucy Katz
Sophomore, Key West
Infield

Katz combined offensive production with strong defense, batting .316 with 21 RBIs and posting a .978 fielding percentage. She added eight doubles, two home runs and nine walks while serving as a dependable presence in the infield.

Madelyn Thornton
Junior, Marathon
Catcher

Thornton was one of Marathon’s top offensive performers, batting .500 with 28 RBIs and an .800 slugging percentage. The junior added seven doubles and four triples while consistently providing run production for the Dolphins.

Anastasia Boose
Junior, Marathon
Pitcher

Boose starred both at the plate and in the circle, batting .404 with 27 RBIs while compiling an 11-3 pitching record. She struck out 72 batters in 64 ⅔ innings and helped lead the Dolphins with her all-around contributions.

Tracy McDonald
Tracy McDonald fled to the Keys from the frozen mountains of Pennsylvania hours after graduating from college and never looked back. She is a second generation coach and educator, and has taught in the public school system for over 25 years. She and her husband met at a beginning teacher meeting in 1997 and have three children born and raised in Monroe County. In her free time, McDonald loves flea markets, historical fiction and long runs in the heat.
