Celebrate Valentine’s Day at the History of Diving Museum in Islamorada on Friday, Feb. 14 with free admission for Monroe County residents.

As part of the museum’s “Love Our Locals Day,” the community can adventure to the deepest places on the planet to discover a vibrant world of art, technology and science in the museum’s current featured exhibit, “Art of the Abyss.” This special exhibit highlights local Keys artists from the Art Guild of the Purple Isles, artwork made by Upper and Middle Keys school students, and a look at the technologies used to explore this unique environment.

Locals stopping by on Valentine’s Day must present their ID for free admission. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Per local restrictions and CDC recommendations, the museum is opened with a limited capacity and with additional precautions.  Groups of more than 10 are not allowed and the museum requires 20 minutes between group start times. Per applicable law, all visitors and staff members must wear a mask at all times.
