RAISING THE BEAM – Hospital construction moves forward

Fishermen’s Community Hospital hosts a small celebration as the last beam of the hospital is lifted into place on June 10. The hospital was destroyed by Hurricane Irma and is being rebuilt at the same site. Speakers included hospital CEO Rick Freeburg and Jay Hershoff, Fishermens & Mariners Hospital Board Chairman. Guests were asked to sign the beam before it was installed. Holly Raschein; and County Commissioners Michelle Coldiron and Craig Cates. BARRY GAUKEL/Keys Weekly
