Key West High School Athletic Director Justin Martin has plenty to celebrate as the winter sport season comes to a close, giving way to the start of another highly anticipated season of high school baseball in the southernmost island. The Conchs’ boys soccer squad closed an incredible 12-5-2 season on Feb. 11, falling in a thrilling shootout against Gulliver Prep – the team’s second shootout in as many playoff games after their Feb. 8 win over heavily-favored MAST Academy. Listen as host Sean McDonald’s talk with Martin ranges from the soccer team’s postseason success to a preview of the upcoming baseball season and an update on the Key West High School baseball complex construction.
