Grouper is a Ridgeback/Husky mix about 1 ½ years old. He is very friendly to all people and he absolutely loves to play with other dogs. He is so playful and loves to run. In fact, he loves to run so much that he would occasionally jump the fence around his yard and run through his neighborhood. Grouper is known to be a bit of an escape artist. The perfect home for Grouper has a fenced yard with a 6’ secure fence and nothing for him to climb over. He also needs an owner experienced with high energy breeds like Rhodesian Ridgeback and Husky. Grouper knows basic commands and is extremely smart and learns quickly. He is with a foster now who is a dog trainer, so he is working on leash walking, focus and stay/recall. Grouper has lived with cats and he does chase them if given a chance. He would love to live in a home with another dog to play with and keep him company. Because of his size (approx. 80 pounds) and his energy level, a home without small children would be best for Grouper. This boy is so sweet and affectionate, and will be the perfect dog for an active person or family.
