CASTING CALL: FRINGE THEATER HOLDS AUDITIONS & WORKSHOPS

Fringe Theater Key West invites actors, used-to-be-actors and wanna-be-actors to general auditions for its (not yet announced) 2022-23 theater season.

How can Fringe hold auditions when the season isn’t yet finalized? Easy! Fringe needs to know who wants to play before the season can be determined.

It’s easy to audition for Fringe. Just prepare a one- to two-minute monologue. Memorized or read, it’s up to you. Then email to info@fringetheater.org or text to 305-731-0581. Want to let Fringe know you can sing? Add 16 bars of a song. Audition videos will be accepted through May 31.

Not sure how to audition?

Sign up for a Fringe Audition Workshop at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 23  at the Key West Armory. Director Rebecca Tomlinson will review best practices for auditioning and media specialist Aramis Ikatu will cover how to stage, light and mic your video.

Participants are encouraged to bring their monologue to the workshop so they can receive artistic and technical feedback. In fact, Fringe will video audition monologues upon request.

To sign up for the May 23 audition workshop, email nfo@fringetheater.org. To submit an audition video, email info@fringetheater.org or text to 305-731-0581. If the file is too large to email or text, Fringe recommends sending it via wetransfer.com.For more information, visit fringetheater.org.
