Mia serves up Dirty Gooses at the ‘Cane - A woman in a bar - Long hair

Bartender Mia Molek has perfected the most fantastic dirty martini in the Keys, and she blames it on her love for vodka and her many years of experience slinging drinks at The Hurricane Bar and Grill.

Her Dirty Goose martini is made with its name sake, Grey Goose vodka, and shaken with olive juice. “I make it really dirty, beaten and bruised,” Mia said, muscling up with the shaker in her hands. Her special touch is the bleu cheese stuffed olives that adorn the glass. Mia, a vegan, says if she ever fell off the vegan wagon, it would be for bleu cheese stuffed olives in a glass full of vodka.

“It’s so delicious – and a little treat if you’re hungry. It has all the components of dinner and a drink,” she joked.

In her free time, the stylish Mia is the co-owner at DK Style Hut, enjoys yoga and drinking wine. Her favorite wine is an organic wine called Nutra. “God help Publix when it goes on sale, because I buy them out,” she laughed.

She loves working at The Hurricane because all of her favorite people come there.

The Hurricane is located at 4650 Overseas Highway, Marathon.

Kristen Livengood is a Marathon High School and University of South Florida grad, mom of two beautiful little girls, and wife to some cute guy she met in a bar. She enjoys red wine, Tito's, Jameson, running (very, very slowly), and spearfishing.
