Dr. Tom Morrison joined the Good Health Clinic as medical director on June 1.
A longtime supporter of the clinic and community, Morrison brings decades of clinical experience and a shared commitment to ensuring access to care for uninsured and financially vulnerable residents throughout the Keys.
“At a time when more local residents are struggling to afford basic living expenses — including health care — Good Health Clinic is seeing growing need, even as public funding for essential services has declined,” said Kate Banick, executive director of the clinic. “Investment in accessible, preventative health care is not only compassionate — it is practical. It keeps people healthy, supports working families and helps preserve emergency resources for true crises. Dr. Morrison brings valuable clinical experience, strong community connections, and a collaborative spirit. We are thrilled to welcome him as we continue strengthening the long-term health of our community.”
Morrison has been connected to Good Health Clinic for many years, supporting its mission through patient referrals, philanthropy and community engagement. He is also a past participant in the clinic’s signature Kahuna Challenge fundraiser, where he was crowned Big Kahuna in 2019. His longstanding involvement aligns with the clinic’s belief that health care should be accessible, compassionate and rooted in community.
Morrison also operates his private practice, Doc on the Rock, where he focuses on patient-centered, affordable care. He was recognized as the Best Upper Keys Doctor in Keys Weekly’s 2025 Best of the Upper Keys. His clinical background spans general surgery, emergency medicine and primary care.

“I’m honored to join the Good Health Clinic team and contribute to the important work being done by this organization,” said Morrison. “Accessible health care remains out of reach for too many hard-working individuals and families in our community. I look forward to working
alongside the clinic’s dedicated staff, volunteer providers, community partners, and supporters to make sure care is there when people need it most.”
Morrison succeeds Dr. Steven Lawyer, who has been medical director since 2019. During his tenure, Lawyer was instrumental in strengthening the clinic’s medical services and expanding the scope of care.
With Morrison stepping into this role, Good Health Clinic looks ahead to its next chapter — building on a strong foundation while continuing to expand access to high-quality care for those who would otherwise go without.
