Florida Keys Brewing Co. rang in 11 years of local beer production — and enjoyment among the many locals and visitors —  with an anniversary celebration on Feb. 15. In addition to the beer pours, delicious fare and live music came other amusing activities, like the lizard race. Proceeds from the race benefited the Upper Keys Humane Society. Brewery co-owner Cheryl McBay said the day saw quite the turnout. “The vibe was amazing, everyone was having a great time and everyone was really happy,” she said.

Located in the Morada Way Arts and Cultural District, Florida Keys Brewing Co. is owned by Cheryl and Craig McBay. It offers a selection of beers, as well as rotating seasonal and barrel-aged drinks, on draft. The brewery also hosts music festivals, bingo, other game nights and a variety of special events throughout the year.
