Positive cases stand at 22

No new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported to the Florida Health Department as of Sunday afternoon. That leaves the number of positive cases in Monroe County at 22. 

Nineteen of the cases are Monroe County residents, while the other three are non-residents. 

Of the 22 reported, 14 have been found to be travel-related, while five were community-acquired. Three are still under investigation by health officials.

Thirteen cases reported involve males while nine involve females. Age ranges affected are 19 to 80 years old. 

Of the Monroe County residents testing positive, 12 reside in Key West, four in Key Largo, one in Summerland Key, one in Islamorada and one in Tavernier. 

Statewide, 275 additional positive COVID-19 cases — 269 Florida residents and 6 non-Florida residents — were reported to the Florida Health Department. Positive cases have surpassed 4,200 with 594 currently hospitalized. Fifty-six have died. 

In nearby counties to the north, Broward County is reporting 838 positive cases while Miami-Dade County has 1,192.
