Did you know that your gently worn sneakers could help MARC?
The Monroe Association for Remarkable Citizens (MARC) team is participating in a fundraiser that involves no money, and nothing to buy or sell. All MARC needs is support and gently worn, used or new sneakers.
Start in your closets and gather sneakers you no longer want. Maybe you’ve outgrown them, they’re out of style, or out of season. If you and your household have 20 pairs, great! If not, don’t worry. You can ask your neighbors, friends, co-workers, and anyone in your social networks to help. Every pair counts.
The sneakers will help raise money to support MARC and will help our environment by keeping sneakers out of landfills.
Sneakers can be dropped off at MARC, 1401 Seminary St., Key West or 90001 Overseas Highway, Tavernier.Email becki.balcer@gmail.com to become a collection location and representatives will drop off a collection bag.
