THIRD BIRD - A group of people posing for the camera - Helicopter

The Trauma Star air ambulance service in the Keys has a third helicopter. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday received the third copter for the service, a joint effort with Monroe County Fire Rescue. This machine will be stationed at the Lower Keys Medical Center. The other two are based at the Marathon airport. The fully restored 2004 helicopter touched down after a two-day trip from Pennsylvania, piloted by Gary Baginski. Trauma Star has served more than 3,000 patients, providing free service to Monroe County residents. SARA MATTHIS/Keys Weekly
