The annual Marathon Veterans Day Parade made its way through town Nov. 8 to celebrate the service of the men and women who protect our freedoms. About 20 vehicles were piloted by soldiers of every stripe including participants from all the lodges, legions and posts. The Monroe Marauders brought out their vintage military vehicles and the American Legion motorcycle riders also made an appearance. The parade ended at the Disabled American Veterans facility at the end of the airport for lunch and socializing.
