Tucked away off Ann Street in Old Town is a local spot where people mix, talk politics and, most importantly, indulge in top-notch craft beers. Owner Hania Rivera said the bar’s concept evolved since its inception three years ago.
“Originally we were going to open a liquor store but my husband decided to put taps in for his love of beer and the place transformed,” said Riviera.
With Steve’s knowledge and palate for great beers, and Hania’s ability to find great wines, there’s something for everybody who visits Shots and Giggles, including liquor for mixed drinks.
One of its most popular aspects, though, are the awesome specials. On Monday’s patrons can flip a Fireball Coin to see if the shot is on the house. Tuesday’s is two-for-one Tito’s Vodka. Wednesday’s is 30 percent off select wines. Thursday’s is two–for-one Deep Eddy Sweet Teas and Sunday is two-for-one mimosas. Oh yeah, there is 30 percent off for locals everyday from 5-7 p.m.
The venue also has beautiful bartenders, in The Weekly’s humble opinion.
There will be an upcoming party in a few weeks celebrating its three-year anniversary and the theme is “Rock of Shame.” Participants should dress like rock stars and good costumes win prizes.
Shots and Giggles opens by 1 p.m., 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. but definitely by 5 p.m. and they close no earlier than 1 a.m., sometimes 2 a.m. and maybe 3 a.m. depending on what the customer wants.
