“Osborne has been doing it all for us lately – scoring, facilitating and defending. His presence on the floor is unmatched. The guys really look up to him and he’s doing his part as our leader and captain.” – Tommy Butler Jr., Conchs head coach

When Key West’s James Osborne steps onto the court, he is a game-changer. Last week, Osborne dropped 24 points on Marathon and another 19 on St. Brendan. The week prior, he went on a tear, scoring 32 in one contest and an awe-inspiring 46 in another to tie the Conch record for most points scored by a single athlete in a single game – a mark that had stood for more than 30 years.

The talented senior is averaging over 23 points per game and has logged six double-doubles at the halfway point of the season, ranking him in the top 20 in the state and first in 4A. For his sensational scoring, dedication to the sport and phenomenal leadership, James Osborne is the Keys Weekly Athlete of the Week.
