Early and mail-in returns are heavy

Monroe County Supervisor of Elections Joyce Griffin reports 61.8% of all registered voters in the Florida Keys have already cast their ballot by mail and early voting. The last presidential election in 2020 saw 65.8% early and mail-in vote with another 18.5% of the voters casting their ballot on election day. “To meet the 2020 totals we need 22.2% today,” wrote Griffin in an early morning email. “That is very doable.”
