FINS BOYS, CONCH GIRLS WIN TENNIS MATCH IN MARATHON

Key West tennis played their closest neighbors March 11 in matches at Marathon. The Lady Conchs prevailed 6-1, with their only loss being in the No. 1 singles match. Avery Batty, Amina Erik, Durdona Oblokulova and Monea McLeod won the No. 2 through 5 singles matches, and Hamida Muhsinova and Leyla Atilla won in No. 1 doubles while Erik and Batty teamed up to win the No. 2 doubles match. 

Marathon’s Emily Alvear was the lone Fin winner at No. 1 singles, but Maleeya Abraham came close at No. 5 singles, losing in a tiebreaker match against McLeod.

Marathon’s boys defeated the visiting Conchs 4-3. Adrien Holdinga won the singles No. 1 match and Graham Murphy won in the five spot, while Holdinga and Carlos Lezcano prevailed in No. 1 doubles and Kasimir Kryzpkowski and Matthew Delgado did the same in No. 2 doubles. 

The Conchs’ wins came in No. 2 through 4 singles, with Nathaniel Bergh, Wyatt Bartels and Ben Delostrinos all defeating their opponents.
