Hi friends! Reef the fox here with this weeks’ “Reef’s Report.” Can you all believe that the year is almost over? Holy smokes, time flies when you’re living the good life like me and all my fox friends here.
Last weekend we had a very special visitor from New York City come to meet us. He is a well-known street artist that uses his talents to raise awareness for animal issues. He had never met a fox before, and does a lot of “anti-fur” art so, he was really inspired by us and may create some art to help mom raise money for us. How cool is that?
This Saturday, Dec. 18 is Coral’s big event, “Christmas With Coral,” at One Grind Key Largo. That is the food truck located at MM 98 in the median between Tom Thumb and Ballyhoo’s. Coral will be there from 10-11 a.m. to meet all of you. I think mom got her a red harness and collar, so that will be funny to watch her put on in the morning of. Better her than me.
Right after the event with Coral, you can head down to Holiday Fest at Island Home Garden Center in Tavernier. Santa will be stopping by, and there will be fun activities for the whole family to enjoy. Sugar cookie decorating, a Christmas in a cup workshop and Island Home’s farmer’s market and gift shop will be available. The new Gardenia’s Bistro will also be open, so go on down to grab some goodies, and enjoy all of the festivities the garden has to offer. I think mom should bring Coral home then take me down there because I love cookies. I know it sounds strange, a fox eating cookies, but trust me on this.
Then to end the day you can go down to the Full Moon party at Whale Harbor. It’s a Disco themed party to benefit Voices for Florida Keys Children. Wood Campbell will be throwing out the good music. The party is from 5-9 p.m.
Well, that’s all for this week. Go visit us at pawsitivebeginnings.org to learn more about us and see all of our fun social media posts. If you want to email me, reef@pawsitivebeginnings.org is the place to send your questions.
Until next time, Reef, over and out!
