In 2025, the Marathon Business and Professional Women’s Foundation (BPW) took a year off from one of the Middle Keys’ most popular fundraisers, and arguably the classiest night of gambling in Marathon.
So in 2026, they knew the return of Keysino Night had to up the ante.
The evening of philanthropic gameplay on Saturday, Feb. 28 will have more roulette and blackjack tables than ever before, staffed by the pros at Casino Party Nights Florida. It has heavier hors d’oeuvres, three separate bars (including a free cocktail with each ticket and a password-protected “secret speakeasy”) and live music. And most importantly, it’s set against the picturesque backdrop of the grounds at Marlin Bay Resort.
“Marlin Bay brings a whole other level of entertainment,” said Keysino Night coordinator Lorna Sanchez. “It will be more than gaming, and more of a complete experience. It’s Gatsby-themed, but it’s just for fun and you don’t have to dress up.”
Proceeds from the event will support the BPW’s Stacy Kidwell Memorial Scholarship, awarded each year to a Marathon High School senior, along with adult scholarships for women furthering their education and other local charitable initiatives. But guests have the opportunity to leave with big wins of their own, as chips are cashed in by the end of the night for raffle tickets to win high-dollar prizes.
“We have really amazing raffle prizes – I think the minimum value on any prize is $500,” said Sanchez. “We have trips, spa packages, Heat tickets, autographed sports stuff from the Dolphins, Marlins and Panthers. Marlin Bay is a great sponsor, and they’re going to give us a beautiful giveaway of a week’s stay for the raffle.”
Tickets for Gatsby Keysino Night are $125 and include heavy hors d’oeuvres, a welcome cocktail, 2,500 gaming chips and desserts from 6 to 10 p.m. And for those having a rough night, extra chips are always available for purchase in the case of a bust.
