The investiture of Bonnie Helms as circuit court judge 16th Judicial Circuit of Florida took place on Feb. 6. More than 200 of Helms’ friends, family and community dignitaries gathered at the Freeman Justice Center for the occasion including the honorable Lisa Campbell, left, Helms, honorable Sandra Taylor, honorable Peary Fowler and the honorable Ruth Becker. Helms received her presentation of judicial commission, presentation of the gavel and presentation of the robe. A reception was held aboard the USCGC Ingham following the ceremony.
Bonnie Helms is joined by Reverend Sarah Fowler, who closed the ceremony with a moving benediction.

Leadership Monroe County Chairman Ray Rhash, Clerk of Court Amy Heavilin and Monroe County School Board member John Dick enjoyed the reception aboard the USCGC Ingham.
