It just doesn’t feel like Christmastime in Marathon until the Faro Blanco lighthouse turns on its multicolored adornments. On the evening of Nov. 17, Marathon residents and visitors were able to combine the annual sign of the season with crossing a few items off their gift lists as the Business and Professional Women of Marathon’s Sip & Shop covered the lawn with local handcrafted wares. A continuous moving serenade by the Marathon High School band added the evening’s musical backdrop.
